Land Clearing & Forestry Mulching in New Melle, MO

Questions we get from New Melle property owners

Can you cut riding trails through wooded acreage?

Yes, and it is some of our favourite work. We walk the route with you first - width, turns, and where water is going to run - before anything comes down, because a trail in the wrong place is worse than no trail.

Will the trail grow back over?

Mulching takes growth down to the root collar and the chip layer slows regrowth considerably, but nothing in Missouri stays open forever. Most trails want a maintenance pass every couple of seasons depending on how hard the ground grows.

How much does clearing cost?

It depends on acreage, how thick the growth is, the slope, and how much access we have for equipment. That is why the estimate is free and done on site - we would rather walk your property and give you a firm number than guess from a satellite photo.

What does forestry mulching actually do?

One machine grinds brush, saplings and undergrowth where they stand and leaves the chips on the ground as a mulch layer. Nothing is hauled off, there are no burn piles, and the chips hold soil in place while the ground recovers. It is usually the fastest and least disruptive way to clear, and on slopes or near water it is often the only sensible option.
